Where We Work

Mullaitivu

Mullaitivu, located in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka, is an area that was heavily affected by the
civil war. The region faced significant destruction and displacement, and its residents are still in the
process of rebuilding their lives. Many families in Mullaitivu require support in various areas,
including housing, infrastructure development, livelihood opportunities, and access to basic services
such as education and healthcare. Assistance in providing sustainable livelihood options and
rebuilding essential infrastructure are crucial for the residents to regain stability and improve their
quality of life

Kilinochchi

Kilinochchi is another city in the Northern Province that experienced severe devastation during the
civil war. The region requires support in rebuilding its infrastructure, including schools, healthcare
facilities, and transportation networks. Access to clean water and sanitation facilities is also a
significant concern. Assistance in creating livelihood opportunities, vocational training, and support
for agriculture can contribute to the economic revival of the region. Additionally, educational and
psychosocial support for children and trauma counseling for affected individuals can aid in the
healing and rehabilitation process

Vavuniya

Vavuniya, located near the northern border of Sri Lanka, also faced significant challenges during the
civil war. The region hosts a large number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees who
require support in terms of livelihood opportunities, housing, and access to healthcare and
education. Assistance in providing vocational training, job placement, and support for small
businesses can empower individuals and families to rebuild their lives. Access to quality education
and healthcare services are vital for the well-being and development of the community.

Jaffna

Jaffna, a city with a rich cultural heritage, has faced the consequences of the civil war as well. The
region requires support in rebuilding infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, and roads. Access to
clean water, sanitation facilities, and electricity are also essential for the residents. In terms of
support, assistance in creating economic opportunities, promoting entrepreneurship, and preserving
cultural heritage can contribute to the sustainable development of Jaffna. Educational support,
including scholarships and infrastructure development, can empower the youth and ensure their
future success

Mannar

Mannar, situated in the northwestern part of Sri Lanka, has also been heavily affected by the civil
war. The region requires support in rebuilding infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, and roads.
Livelihood opportunities, particularly in the fishing industry, can be supported through initiatives
such as providing fishing equipment and training. The preservation of cultural heritage and the
development of tourism can also contribute to the economic growth of Mannar. Access to quality
education, healthcare, and clean water are fundamental needs that require attention.

These regions have endured significant hardships, and their residents require support in various
aspects to rebuild their lives. Through our charity initiatives, we aim to address these specific needs
by providing assistance in housing, infrastructure development, livelihood opportunities, education,
healthcare, and other essential services. Together, we can make a lasting impact and help these
communities thrive once again.
